Food Safety
Our unwavering commitment to food safety is engrained in our culture. We maintain an A rating from BRC, the preeminent standard recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative for food safety management. Our facilities are overseen by on-site USDA FSIS inspectors and veterinarians as well as our staff of extensively-trained quality assurance personnel. We also partner with IEH Laboratories & Consulting Group, an internationally-recognized organization, for product testing and to ensure that our food safety measures are on the leading edge of science.
Our Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) plan addresses food safety through analysis and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards within our supply chain. The foundation of our plan includes sanitation procedures, good manufacturing practices, employee training, and pest control.
We have implemented seven interventions to prevent or reduce the incidence of E. coli to undetectable levels. These interventions have been independently validated by Merieux NutriSciences. We continually evaluate these systems for improvements as research and technological advances occur.
