We do not tolerate abusive behavior directed at animals by employees, suppliers, cattle haulers, or others involved in our supply chain. All employees who interact with livestock are trained extensively on humane handling procedures. Our cattle barns are under 24-hour video surveillance to monitor animal welfare, and we are subjected to daily audits from USDA inspectors of unloading and cattle handling to ensure compliance.

Our cattle barns were specifically designed to provide animals with protection from harsh weather conditions while in our care. All animals have unlimited access to fresh water, and each lot of cows is fed hay or silage if kept in the barn more than 24 hours, which is rare.
